Gun Problems? Not really

“I am not afraid of bullets but of the speed they travel at” – Mexican saying

It turns out now Mexico has a gun problem, this is something new and certainly is something you don’t see a lot of people worried about down here. Yes there its a lot of violence around here, mostly drug dealers killing other drug dealers, but not really average citizen. But it would be as having a cars problem because drunk driving.

Now I am in favor of legalizing drugs, at least for a while to see how it turns out, but what really bothers me its how well orgainzed its the drug dealing in the USA.

For the size of the drugs consumption on the USA you need a big logistics operation just like in any business…so how come they do not name the big players of this operation? should we belive that all those cartels are run from Latinamerica?

How come there is never big shipments seized? I mean in a weekend just in NYC they should consume several tons of drugs. In Mexico every once in a while the police bust full containers with tons of drugs, and soldiers die, and drug delears are busted with guns and lots of money.

You mean the minute that these containers reach the border they are transfer to hundreds of cars and vans with small carriers to take them to every major city in the USA? These would be a cost and logistics nightmare.

I do not know what happens, but it sounds fishy to me, its seems this is just something that is done to increase the final price of the product and make a great business of the whole thing for the big players in this business that no one knows who they are and never are hit with shipments lost by the police.
